Dr Daniel Gandolfo gained a BSc (Hons) in Physics from Liverpool University and went on to work in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. He gained an MPhil in magnetic resonance imaging and stereology in this department and then went on to a PhD in nanotechnology at the University of Cranfield.
He now works at the Hitachi Cambridge Laboratory working in the area of quantum computation.
Daniel is a keen tennis player and an LTA coach, playing competitive tennis, both singles and doubles, on a regular basis. He is also interested in promoting science in schools and science education.
