Elaine Wilson is a lecturer in Science Education at Cambridge University Faculty of Education. She also manages the Cambridge/Gatsby Initial Teacher Training Course.

Elaine has taught in a number of schools, managed a science department and was responsible for curriculum development work with a group of departments. She was awarded a Salters' medal for outstanding Chemistry teaching in 1994 and continues to work with Salters on Sharing Good Practice Continuing Professional Development Courses and as Lead Teacher at the Chemical Education Groups Chemistry Camps.

Elaine has been a full-time member of the Faculty Secondary Science Team since 1996 and now co-ordinates the Science/Biology course PGCE. She recently set up a new secondary Cambridge/Gatsby ITT course PGCE and now manages the Design and Technology, Science and Mathematics SCITT course.
