Design of Real Tennis Balls

Abstract

Design standards in terms of the coefficient of restitution at low velocities and the compression behaviour of Real Tennis balls are reported, in the light of which alternative manufacturing processes to the present labour-intensive process are considered. A prototype ball design which shows promise is described.
